'07 LE-21 DCX / 225 ProXS 3.25"-3.5" below the pad (10" hydraulic plate) 26" Trophy with two small PVS plugs and two regular size So far... 74 Loaded with 1 guy @5700RPM, 72-73 Loaded with two guys Light load: With minimal tackle and about a half a tank of gas, by myself, I got 76 today with the same setup as above. Taking it down to 3.5" below lost about 3 tenths of a mph.

Not sure... I've seen 76 with maybe 50 lbs aboard by myself. From what I've heard conditions were perfect that day.

I have a Legend LE-186 with a 150 Mercury OptimaxIt has a 23 Pitch tempest plus with 3 vent holes and such I have about 6 1/2 hours on engine It is I believe at 3.5 inches below pad with a 10 inch jackplate I am running on a medium to heavy load to 5400 RPM's and 59.8 MPH GPS Speed It feels that there is more to be had, I am only getting 5400 RPMS, It has a hot foot, could that need to be adjusted? Or should I raise it a bit? This is trimmed up and my rooster tail is about halfway up the engine cowling. Any help would be apprecatiated.http://www.NickBarrFishing.com TEAM LEGEND BASS BOATS MERCURY MARINE INTERSTATE BATTERIES President, Timberline High School Fishing Club

Well at the Classic I did the following:'08 Alpha 211/ Merc 250 ProXS 78 @ 6000 27 tempest 3.25" below pad 40 deg air temp 51 deg water temp light breeze and a little chop. Ran 77 all day out east, came back to Austin and could only get 75 out of her, go figure, and the rpms weren't too far from what I was running out east, so I'm blaming it on the nasty hard water. My boat always runs better on East TX lakes too. Owner of the most boring colored Legend made

'09 Alpha 211 250 ProXS Hydraulic JackplateProp 1: 26 Trophy Plus Stock 5700 RPM 72 MPH Two guys, heavy tourny load, full wells and full tank Notes: Jackplate and trim seem to be very important on speed and RPM. You could easily turn 6000+ but didn't gain speed. Probably due to slip caused by overtrimming and jackplate too high. Adjusted plate and trim and found out the above to be optimal. Prop 2: 27 Tempest Plus worked at DAH Custom Props 5800 RPM 75 MPH Two guys, hvy tourny load, 1/2 tank of fuel, empty wells Notes: Again, the plate and trim were very important. Over trimming and plate too high caused more RPM's and slower speeds. Still respectable for a 3 blade. Great holeshot for the Tempest too. Prop was cut for speed and some lift. Planning on trying a 28 Tempest, 27 Trophy II this weekend. Will report.. It's just me, my family and my Alpha 211 It just don't get any better than this!!

I to have perty mush the same set-up, A-211, M 250 running a 26 Tempest, dual counsel, 4 batteries? After break in got, 72mph fully load with two and live wells full. Ran 55 minutes one way before I shut it down. (Weighted in 18lbs.)Last week playing around raised the jack plate and got 75 load, full tank and live wells full. 5800 rpm, psi 26. But this was on a lake that had a lot of turns. Going to raise again and will be out on the water Monday-Thrusday, KY Lake. We tried a prop that makes a Bullit run but couldn't get a hole shot nor did it make much different on top end. Still looking for a better prop? John at Marina Works,KY is work to get the extra MPH if possible. The boat runs good in rough water and like another post it will turn heads.
