I used Valvoline in my rebuilt long block 302 Ford for a few months, and noticed a crusty build up on the filler cap, checked the valve cover and it was the same. Went back to Castrol!!

Mobil 1 oil and filter, but I am getting tierd of paying $50-$60 bucks everytime I change oil. I have to change it frequently because of my travel for work. My girlfriend refuses to have a car payment and continues to drive her 1992 honda accord and it gets the same treatment with 250k and running strong, except from dead stops But thats not the oils fault.

I have been using the Mobil 1 for about 2 years now. Use it in the truck and the wife's Miata. Before that I was a die-hard Pennzoil user and still consider it an excellent choice. I have used it in 3 vehicles all with just over 100K and there was no build up inside the valve covers.

Motorcraft filter is better than a Fram, I guess. I am a WIX man myself, best bang for your money plus the #1 oil filter around.

I switched from Castrol to Valvoline in my wifes KIA. My excursion gets motorcraft 5w20 as it should. If valvolin made a 5W20 I would use it in the excursion as well. Like the way it seems to clean things up and comes out clean after 3K where the castrol started to darken and seemed to be "heavy" at 3K. Just a personal observation.

Use Rotella in almost everything. Buy it 25 to 50 gallons at a time. Use it in my farm tractors, f-350, Dodge cummins, Dodge Stealth, and would use it in my boat but cant find an oil cap anywhere!!!!!!! Only thing I don't use it in is my 4-wheeler and my dirtbike. Never had a problem with it but if I had to use another oil it would probably be Schaeffer.
