| Quote, originally posted by FireBassr » | It was suggested by several members, that because there are so many Fire, Police, and EMS providers among the membership of BBC, that maybe a forum for us all to share ideas, training, technology, etc. would be in order. And also, sometimes after that difficult call or alarm, a place to vent, share, or ask for a little help. Post as you see fit. We all know the bond that we share with each other. And just as a point of information, anyone is welcome to post, whether or not you are a public safety provider. Could be a unique opportunity to get your questions answered about how/why we do the things we do. |
Yep what greg said......I think this is a great idea.. I can't take credit for it...there have been several that have imed me about a public safety forum....too many to name and I sure don't want to leave anyone out!! Way to go guys and gals! I am hoping we can use this forum to post safety ideas, equipment ideas, new laws and court rulings, etc. And like Greg said, we all need a place to vent now and then. Sometimes it is easier to do it with a perfect stranger... I think it's pretty neat that we all came to a bass fishing site.. and from this site that Al created we may be able to save a life of a fellow officer, fire fighter, EMT, etc. Pretty amazing if you ask me...... Thank you Al.........

Just thought I'd post here with the other "public servants". Heh heh heh. Don't ya just love being called that? It's very nice to see a site where those who aren't in the service of public safety acknowledge us and give us our own space. I haven't been on the job for some 25 years now but I put in twenty and when I did they said I could leave if I wanted to. So here I am....a retar....eh, retiree. The good part is they kept on paying me since I left and I screwed up their actuarial projections really good. Just a reminder to stay safe to all of you who are still doing the work. I love the fire service and have a lifelong connection to those who "fight fire and save lives". There's a special bond among public safety folks and I respect every one of those who put it out there every day.
