I have worked in narcotics for the past 16 years and I am currently the major of the narcotics task force that works three counties and six cities.

If guns cause crime, then matches cause arson.

My first year was spent working as a police officer on Mackinac Island. I have been at Charlevoix County since January 2004, and I love it. I'm currenty designated as a Deputy Sheriff, and I work out of our Boyne Falls Sub Station (East side of the county).

I was appointed to our Emergency Response Team (SWAT) we're part of the Northern Michigan Mutual Aid Task Force. Basically, any county sheriffs office or police department who is a member of the NMMATF can call upon the ERT team to handle high risk warrants, and tactical situations that a regular patrol officer is not trained or equipped to handle. I currently serve as a entry team/ perimeter team member, but I'm looking to become trained as a scout sniper for the team.

My most recent assignment is traffic accident investigator/ reconstructionist.

I have been a fulltime fireghter with the Arkadelphia Fire Dept. since 95. I started as a volunteer in 91. Current rank is Rescue Lieutenant. I oversee the water rescue training and also maintain our 2 rescue boats.

I have done many other jobs in my life, but finally taking the step and becoming a LEO has been the biggest, best, and most rewarding ever, wish I had done it sooner!
