Throttle roller timing arm adjustment 60* motors Reply  Edit

If you have a problem with a 60 degree carb motor stalling on take off you need to check the timing roller, the first picture the roller is incorrect, in the second picture the screw that is used to adjust the roller is marked, loosen the screw and move the roller until it touches the arm as indicated by the arrow.
The third picture is how the roller should be positioned.

All pictures are with the top round cover removed.

This is an example of what could be wrong with your engine.

The basics must be checked first, compression, ignition, and the fuel system.
