Congrats Roberte, bluewaterled has some great lights and they are a board sponsor. Almost every boat I have owned has had a Garmin on at one point or another and even though they weren't color units and as fancy as some of the others I never had a problem with them. You didn't say if you are running a 12 or 24 volt trolling motor but I would guess its a 12 volt. You may want to consider buying a 3 bank charger just in case you move up to a 24 volt TM later on. You can always tape up the leads for now.

Yes, I currently have a 12V TM so I have a two battery setup. Anyone have recommendations as to the best battery charger under $200? Also, I'm looking for a second fish finder for the boat. My current choices are a Lowrance X135 or a Humminbird 728. The 728 is GPS capable but I'm looking for the better of the two (fish finding wise) to mount on the TM, so GPS is not a necessity. Any other recommendations for a fish finder? Want to keep it under $300 if possible. I specifically had the Blue water LEDs in mind for the deck/compartment/live well lighting. Here's a couple of pics of my rig. 
The tow rig has a V6 and its 4wd, no problems towing or getting the boat in/out of the water.

Robert, Duo Pro makes a great charger but that is my personal preference, I know that Guest and MinnKota also make them. I would suggest that you check all of them and make a choice based on what you like. I haven't owned a Humminbird for many, many years but I would think that for the person who was trying to be economical it would pay to look at the HB especially since it is GPS capable, it sure beats painting an X on the side of the boat to mark your spot.

Welcome aboard. Check with Jones Trolling Motor on the charger and Three Rivers Marine on the depth finders. Both great people to deal with.

Hey Roberte, good to talk to you. That G3 is a nice fishing partner. Congrats. I'm interested in the bimini top mod. I have been thinking of doing the same on my Skeeter. Questions...fit & finish, cost, did you do the install, brand???...Need to know!!!

The bimini top was purchased from Boat Cover's Direct. They supplied a Carver Top brand top frame and cover. Upgraded to the sunbrella burgundy fabric and the stainless steel connectors. Price (including cover) was ~$450 shipped. With the help of a friend, the install took about 45 min. Measure twice, drill once.. you know the routine. Ended up moving the grab handle on the port side forward (use the forward hole and drilled one further forward) so that I could center the top over the center seating area. Fit and finish is good. The installation instructions could have been a little better written as there was a couple of things poorly explained. Overall, we're very happy with the results as it is just as I imagined it. Raising and lowering is fairly easy. Stowing in the cover goes fairly well, though it's easier once you trailered your boat. The only downfall is to make sure you stow the cover once you've taken it off... my wife neglected to do this last weekend and it blew out the back w/o realizing it... Ooops! Luckily the company will supply another for $40 plus shipping.

Just wanted to say Hello! I'm just getting started on my recent purchase--a 1989 single console Cajun 160. In pretty good shape for it's age. Original motor no good. Am installing a 1976 70hp Evinrude to get me started. It's my first bass boat and am really going through alot of discussion forums and learning a whole bunch about boats and motors. Hope I can pick some brains as I go along. Thanks.
