Hi all

I am new to the forum so please be patient with me. I just bought a 1998 Hydra Sport 196 SC with a 200 hp Evinrude Vindicator and love it, it is by far the best boat I have ever owned.

I am looking for owners manuals for the boat and motor, can anyone help? I am sure I will have other questions and from time to time I will be able to answer other members queries as well, so be kind to me, please.

I will add some photos soon.

Welcome aboard and congrats on your new buy. The boat you probably wont find an owners manual for but can probably find one for the motor on the Evinrude site.

you can purchase the ownwers manual for the motor @ evinrude.com...the owners manual for the 196 was fairly small and generalized many features shared by other OMC boats of its time . i dont even have one . is there something in particular you were looking for ??

Im pretty sure I have the manual for my 1996 LS185, if its the same I can scan it and send you a copy. Todd, woud these be the same?

I should have it then. I will check when I get home. If I remember, there wasnt really much to it like Todd said. Im pretty sure I still have all my original manuals, boat, motor, tm, flasher.
