 Golden Rule Storage Reply  Edit

Ive been wanting a way to store my golden rule so it was easy to access yet wasnt flying around the boat. I tried velcro but I never could get it to hold. It either wasnt strong enough, or the adhesive kept coming off. Ive also been seeing those plastic thingies with slots but Im too cheap to by one.

I just got through making a bunch of stands using PVC water pipe and thought viola' here is my answer. I took two pieces of pipe and slit them down the side using my radial arm saw. I then used liquid nails to glue them (with spacers) under the flipping deck I made a few years ago. It works PERFECTLY !!!

The photo is a bit out of focus but you can get the jist of it..

its 1" pvc water pipe (3/4" will work as well) and liquid nails is an adhesive available at Wal-Mart or any home improvement /hardware store.
