The boat and motor are 1998 model. Not had it in the water yet. It now has a 21 pitch prop on it. This is not my first ranger I do know this is not a big enough prop i don't think. I could be wrong i have been before.

I believe the older 519s were 20' 6" boats, similar to my 520 (20' 9"). I run a 25P Tempest Plus on mine, and so do 90% of other folks I know with similar sized boats and HP motors. I'd say you can't go too far wrong with the TP.

It is a 20' 6" boat thanks much for the info. Didn't want to take a chance on blowing engine first time out with 21 pitch. Again thanks. RR_20

I had the 1998 519dvs before it burned in a battery charging fire. Loved the boat and still have the prop. The prop is a four blade 25 Trophy. I believe the motor was mounted on the second hole from the top. I did not have any jackplate. The boat would consistently run at 70mph or a little more in the cooler months. I had the same motor.

Still waiting to get a prop. Have to wait till I get more funds after purchasing boat. A poor man has poor ways lol. A friend let me try a 27p tempest and it is a dog coming out of hole slooooooow. Top end at 5400 was 70 on speedo not gps. But, sounds like I need to get the 25 trophy. Thanks for your input. I appreciate it.

I agree with Runninrusty. Fury props not for everyone, but have been awesome on the setups I have tried them on. 25 should be about right for you.

I had that exact rig and the fury 25p was the fastest
