My boat came with retractable straps. I have been using them for 7 years.

They are in the side. Yes I like them a lot. They have never failed to hold stuff in place and have always retracted perfectly. I can strap down 5 rods on each side if necessary, though I normally only have 3 on each side.

I installed the rod buckle on my boat a few years ago. I never had any problems wityh them. I wish I would have removed them once the boat was totaled. They have some that you cut the big holes and they also have spacers so all you have to do is drill 2 small holes. You will not be disappointed.

I've had bungee cords, velcro straps and now have the retractable starps and they are the best of what I've used before.

Has anyone put these retractable straps in a 300 series ranger??
I Have a 89 363v and was thinking about going this route.
Don't want to hit any wires that might be running up the side any info would be great..
Thanks
