I could be wrong but I think your rpm range is 5500-6000.If thats the case, you would probably want to prop it to 5700? Lugging your motor is a bad thing.

I think a 20'' raker would be the ticket there.

Thanks for the advice. So I currently have an aluminum prop. Is the stainless worth the extra $ or do I go for a 20" in aluminum? What other things should I consider before prop shopping?

Alan....Welcome to the BBC!!! My friend has the same boat/motor combo as you. He's running a 21p Renagade prop. His top end is 53mph @ 5600rpm GPS. I have a 273 Stratos and have ran the Renagade. I can say it is my favorite prop, great hole shot and handling!!!! You can't go wrong with that set up!

Thought I'd update this post. I bought a new 20" Raker to replace the 24" Raker ($240 on eBay). The RPM's went from around 4800 to 5500. Speed went from 43mph to 50mph fully loaded with a partner(500 lbs). The holeshot was good with the 24 but became exceptional with the 20. I am really happy with this setup. Thanks to all those who gave their $.02, it really helped. By the way, Mike is the man, so helpful!
