While backing up yesterday smacked my skeg it put a small bend down toward bottom and up top on back side knocked a couple little chips out, I've heard of people getting this fixed do i just need to take it to prop repair shop or something?

I'm not sure what you call a "small bend", that can be different things to different people. So just to be on the safe side I would take it to a shop and have it repaired.

I have never had one repaired myself, but know of other guys that have had theirs done locally. To hear them talk it was no big deal.Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply.

Take it in and have it welded. They have to drop the lower unit. I have torn the skegsheild off before. Just my two pennies...

If you tore the SkegShield off , then you took the whole skeg off the second time ?
SkegShield has a 3 year warranty .

We do not recommennd adding anything to the skeg that adds bulk. Get it fixed right or do it yourself.
