I just bought a XP18 a few weeks ago with a 90TLR. The ride is not bad but not quite as good as the hyper lift models. Mine runs 41mph by the speedo with the factory SS prop and with with two people in it. Before I bought the XP18 I test drove a H51 and a XP17. The XP17 with a 70TLR on it ran about the same as the XP18 with a 90, about 40 to 41mph. The H51 had a 60 4stroke on it so it way under performed. I like the big decks and all the room in the XP18, however, if I had it to do over again I would go with the H51 with a 90. The XP17 is not rated for a 90. 70hp is the max.
I dont think they make that one anymore.The H51 is a 17' hyperlift hull that is 10'' narrower than the X17. It's not as nice as the X17,but i really like mine.
