I start my transition leave on the 21st. and will start my new J O B on Monday the 30th. I have already had two offers and waiting to interview for a third. The position I am taking is training MLRS Fire Direction classes to units returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. It's part of the ARFORGEN process. The money is good but I'll be on the road up to two weeks a month or more. It'll have it's hardships for sure, but at least I won't be getting shot at or blown up, and will be compensated pretty handsomely. They will be paying me per diem on top of my base salary. Never thought I'd be making this kind of $. Combined with my retirement and disability it will allow my wife and I to do some things we've always wanted to but couldn't afford. Anyway I just wanted to share my good fortune with my fellow vets. Not gloating or bragging. I am pretty happy to say the least.
P.S. Any fellow soldiers or vets looking for Jobs should check out Advancia.com... I was hired by a telephone interview.
