 Recirculate/Pumpout Valve Reply  Edit

I made the long drive to NC last weekend bought an 04 X19 with a 200 EFI. I then went to Green River lake where a buddy of mine has a house boat. I have to say I love the boat, it is the best running bass boat I have ever been in. I have a coupple of questions for you guys. I have a T&H livewell system that has and open and close valve and a Recirculate/Pumpout valve. The Recirculate/Pumpout Valve won't open and close. I am thinking that the valve is broken or the control wire is hung up. I can find the open close valve but not the Recirculate vlave. Does anyone have an idea where it may be located? The pump for the Recirculate/pumpout is in a tough spot to get to directly behind the gas tank. Do you think the valve is under or behind the tank? Has anyone ever changed one of these valves?

My second question. I have a Bob's Machine Shop Fast Jac hydroulic jack plate. With the plate at it's highest setting I am still about an inch below the bottom of the boat. The fastest I have been able to get the boat to run was 64 at WOT with a 26 pitch 4 blade prop. Should I be able to get this rig to run faster? Do I need to move the motor up a hole on the jack plate? it is curently set on the top holes.

Thanks in advance for your input. This forum was a big help when I was deciding to buy this boat.

The valve has to be near the recirc pump. Need more imfo on the setup. What kind of prop? How much setback?

Thanks for your help, I found the valve, no need to replace just some crud on the mechanism. Cleaned it up and it works great now.

I have a 25 pitch 4 blade PowerTech prop with a 6 inch setback Hydroulic plate that has 6 inches of vertical travel. With the plate all the way up I am still about an inch an a half below the bottom of the boat. Running at WOT I am getting at least 20 pounds of water pressure (the gague pegs out as high as it will go) and turning 5500 RPM trimed out and jacked all the way up. It does shoot one hell of a rooster tail, I am guessing about 5 feet.

You need to star at about 3.5" below pad, make a run and record you results. Go up a 1/2" and repeat. Is that a 2.5 or 3.0L motor?
