Some of you may know this. A few months back, I realized one of our BBCers lived right up the road from me, although we had never met. I checked his profile and found a familiar last name. Javelin225HO is the member. After waiting a bit, I decided to ask him if he ever knew some folks I had known almost 50 years ago...when we all lived in Norfolk... I asked him if he knew Johnny and Pattie Ann, and mentioned that Pattie was a dear friend with whom I had lost touch & that I had taught Johnny to drive in my 56 Ford when Johnny was about 16-17. Mike responded!!! Johnny is his dad and Pattie Ann his aunt. He gave me Pattie's phone number and I called her. We began chatting about once a week...It was so fun to catch up. Sadly, due to smoking for many years, she had developed COPD. Also had osteoporosis, so was pretty much confined to home and hospice. Most recently, I called her Friday and we had a good time reminiscing.

This morning, I got an IM from Mike. Pattie Ann had died Tuesday. The funeral was this afternoon. I met Mike and re-met Johnny. Very bittersweet...

I am so angry with myself....I had planned on going to see her...about 40 miles from here. We just never got the plans solidified.

Thanks to the magic of BBC, we had some fun phone visits..... Prayers would be good. Thanks for listening.

I've got to say it again just how much I enjoy this site and trying to get in touch with people who live close to me. Really.......I'm not a stalker . After seing how many have passed away I try harder. Most recently Hardhead1, Mike Simpson. It's been great becoming Friends. Sorry for your loss Lea. Hope to meet you one day
