I'm not that familiar with the cobras but just looking at them they do look a lot alike. If you don't mind, what are the differences. I like the looks of them and I know they are very nice boats.

I can tell a bunch of similarities between the Legend and the Ranger also. I really would like to see Lee come on here as he has built both Cobras and Legends and he may even had a short stint at Ranger also or I'm getting that confused with BassCat.Differences: Legend- foam filled stringer with four piece hull cap and stringer design Cobra- coosa board stringer with two piece hull and cap design Legend- double floor with totally enclosed top cap Cobra- Single floor with open top cap Legend- All fiberglass transom and gusset supports the run longitudinally along the stringer Cobra- Aluminum Gusset bolted into coosa stringer Legend- front to my measurements geometrically is near identical to a 5 series ranger with 370 influence note the reverse outer chine up front Cobra- front half is geometrically similar to 480 series not quite the turn as sharp of an entry angle Legend- added lifting strakes and strake placement and design are different Legend- rear geometry angles are different Legend- Rear gas tank Cobra- under seat tank Legend- smaller top cap gunnels so you get a larger area wise front deck and rear deck Legend- finished battery compartment Legend- Larger easier to access battery compartment Legend- More updated: touchpad switchboard, floating consoles, standard recessed TM tray, consoles that accept electronics configurations. There are tons more also just need to run but will add more later. I'm sure others can add differences also as there are a few Cobra owners that made the switch to Legend. If chopdogg sees this he can more also as he knows both boats very well. Plus he can correct any of my mistakes. Owner of the most boring colored Legend made

C'mon Lee, easy you and some others have your own unique contributions to the boat also. Yes I agree it is not any boat other than a Legend. Merry X-mas Really both Lee and Dave, Legends magic makers know more than I do, but I can guarantee this though. You would be amazed how a slight change can make a drastic difference in lift, ride, weight distribution and so much more. The fortunate thing is every other manuf. knows that also. That is what this makes this industry so fascinating. As long as people like Deana, Billy, Renea, Deryl, Lee, Dave, Duane, Randy, Dean, their finely picked dealers, and the rest of the team I know I missed. These folks are the reason I also ride in a Legend. There are a ton of choices out there and none of them are wrong. I do believe though for my needs, I found a group of folks that fit me perfectly. I have to agree the staff at the factory does care about there product. Many say it but they prove it day in and day out. I make a call someone answers and does not pass the buck or say we will call you back. They find someone to take care of it right then and there. Now that to me is a big deal. As far as differences there are too many to say. I do get teased by some dealers but they are my friends as well so they have the right to do so in the first place. When people do see the boats for the first time they are in amazement of how great they look as well as the finish is second to none.Ray LeyerlySponsors: http://www.legendbassboats.com

| Quote, originally posted by btsmbass » | | that Legends are nothing more than cobras. I am going to freak. Went into the local Skeeter dealer cause they usually carry a lot of regional specific tackle and of course the salesman just had to ask what I own. In stead of taking the high route and saying that is a nice boat and try to build even more value in his product. The a-hole like all other crappy salesman tries to instantly cut the Legend brand. Saying old technology (like technology has changed that much in building boats in 30 years) and that a legend is nothing more than a splash of another brand. I then had to explain the differences and he was very humble and after my dissertation he quietly went back to his desk and STFU like a good whupped dog should. I stopped after about 50 differences and told him I could name a 100 more if he wanted to listen. I then continued to tell him similarities between skeeter and cobra and after about 10 I could tell he had enough. All the man had to do was say my boat was a nice boat and I probably would have listened to what he had to say. This just proves that the industry still lacks talent and nearly every dealer I walk into has at least one a-hole salesman like this. We think of our boats almost like children and I don't think there is a guy or girl in the world who doesn't love what they own, if salesmen would learn this they would get their closing rates over 30% like good guys do.

Methinks Mr. Goff has been in the game a little longer than you and he speaks the truth as he knows all the players. Don't think ChampioN is dead yet either.
