Everyone goes away in the winter. I put a hummingbird SI on mine. I mounted the transducer on the bottom of the jackplate.2006 21' Xpress X-21 LE - Evinrude 225HO - 12" Hydraulic http://www.machlink.com/~jr225ho/

The Deep South is Froze up  but we did put an I-Pilot on ours

Do you have any pics of your jack plate mount? I was thinking of doing that also just looking for different ideas.

Warren, what ever happened to Gene's Marine in Clanton? That's where I bought my X-19 and their phone # is no longer in service.

Gene Marine has closed and also Mimms Marine have closed. That leave us without a dealer in Clanton. We bought our boat form Grammer Marine because Mimm's had handling Xpress and Gene's had not started.

I didn't get one of those high dollar depthfinders but when i got my new boat home i did remove the pirahna depthfinder and replaced it with a 5" screen 565,it uses the same power and transducer as the pirahna so all i had to do was align one of the mounting holes and drill three new ones.The old holes were siliconed and covered by the base of the new depthfinder.I then sold the older unit with the new wiring harness that came with the 565.

Yes I did get him local. But unfortunately He is gone also. Stolen out of my front yard. Never told my kids this but I believe he was stolen by some dog fighters. We had a rash of medium and big dogs disapear a couple years back. Rumor mill said they were told by a local cop some dog fighters came thru and swiped a bunch of dogs to use as training dummies. So, he probably died a horrible death.
