My vl 300, 90hp merc, needs more speed!!! im limited to 90hp (according to hydra sports) so I dont really want try and put a higher hp engine on anyways. I'm prob. goin to get a jack plate but not sure which one to get or the performance gains I would get from buyin one. Do any of you guys have any before and after #'s after puttin a jack plate on your H.S.? how big should/could I go with? 5'' 6'' 10''??? what kind of speed gains would I get? any help would be great!
