Clean A Coffee Pot Reply  Edit

I saw where some people were buy stuff to clean there coffee pots and thermos.
The best way I have found is a great trick, works great on glass coffee pots on your coffee maker,
Take and put 3 tbl spoons of salt and then put about 1/4 way full with ice cubes. swirl untill clean, only takes a min. and works great and you dont have to buy anything give it a try never get your hand hung in your coffe pot again.

I agree with bentrod! Never clean a coffee pot.. All I do is rinse, wipe and go. Soap never touches the inside of my pot..

for the nasty ones that have been scorched all night.....I take a hand full of change (pennies, nickels, dimes) and put in the pot.....add 2 or so inches of water and start swirling it around. Clean in no time, plus you get money laundering at the same time

I use baking soda, a little water and a sponge and wipe it out by hand. You guys that don't wash your coffee pots are probably the same guys under the misconception that coffee tastes better in a dirty coffee mug too.
