I made some using UHMDP cutting boards from wall mart and golf bag tubes..

I can fit 10 - 12 rods in the locker and not have them bump around.

If I can get out to the boat I'll take a picture or two.

I went to bass pro shop and bought an organizer for the rod box that has that dipped rubber stuff on it. Works great. Don't remember how much it was, like $20. It holds on with velcro. I have had it for four years, it hasn't moved at all. I put a bunch of rods in there including 3 airrus tradition one piece rods which are like fragile bits of glass and they are no problem. Check it out at Bass Pro, I think it organizes 8 rods.....

I have had boats with and without rod storage. Personally, since Stik Jackets came out, I prefer my boat know without the rod storage. I can fit more in there, and they are easier to get out. My triton had pretty good rod storage. It had a massive rod locker, but it only held 8 rods- I actually pulled a couple eyes off my rod pulling them out of the tubes. My 277 sprint has about half the size in the rod locker, but I can fit double the rods, plus it runs all the way up to the bow and I can fit rods up to 8 feet). I put stik jackets on every rod - Just keep my hand on the stick jacket when pulling the rod out, and leave the stik jacket in the locker. I also have some BPS reel covers (neoprene and velcro) that I put on my reels. I always put the stik jacket back on the rod when putting in the locker, but will usually leave off the reel cover until getting ready for my next trip. Never had a problem this way, and my gear still all looks brand new.
