Not sure about the screw length. Asides for the bling factory what would the purpose of the diamond plate? Remember diamond plate gets slippery when wet so it may effect getting your foot in and out. As far as putting it towards the middle, for me, it wouldnt be comfortable. Also when you are putting it in sit in the seat and place the pedal where your foot is going to be comfortable, not too far back and not too far forward. if i attach diamond plate towards the center using it as a floor mat I can mount the hot foot where it should be with less chance of drilling threw the hull1997 Hydra sports 175 1997 150 hp fast strike no jack plate 60.2 mph gps 5000-5100 rpm

Mine is the next size up. Those should work, just be careful. GO SLOW, I know it doesnt have to be said, but.......... Sounds like you are getting her looking good, def. need to put up some picts. I wish I had something other then a tarp to put it under, but guess it will have to do for now. Kevin D Middletown, CT 1996 LS 185, Johnson 150

I will have a look I plan to drill a small hole and put a wire in it to see how much room I have ...I have never used a hot foot so i am excited ...the boat looks like a mess and dirty or I would have pics put up .... I may up the screws but if its only 1/4 inch floor it wont matter. my next thing is a pro control or troll well depends on what ones cheaper and best fits (as long as i can still use my rod locker) I think my old boat is sold so I have 2 trolling motors to sell to put a new fortex on it ( I wanted to try motor guide but I haven't seen many good reviews on a whole) all in all it should look good this year but I hope to put bucket seats in her next year 1997 Hydra sports 175 1997 150 hp fast strike no jack plate 60.2 mph gps 5000-5100 rpm

Good deal, that would be one way of figuring out how much space u have under there. Shouldnt be an issue with the rod locker, I wouldnt think. Nice, Fortex is the way to go, I still have the orig. trolling motor on mine that came with it. Still going strong, beat to hell, but works. Have actually had a couple of offers for it, but I couldnt sell it and get enough for a newer one. Bucket seats are very nice, thats whats in mine, unless u plan on have a 3rd in the boat fishing with ya. Kevin D Middletown, CT 1996 LS 185, Johnson 150

Doesnt take much to crack those heads, Ive gone through two of them now. If you want I can find out if either one of the two guys wants it or would consider the motor, up to you. They are solid tm's, Id sold mine if I could of put it towards a new motor, but I dont think the Mrs. will let me crack the checkbook to make up the difference. I barely got a BPS gift card, let alone a Stradic, I think I its time to do a trade in and Im not talking about the boat either If it were mine, why do you need all those, they cost too much, you dont have time to go fishing. Kevin D Middletown, CT 1996 LS 185, Johnson 150
