 Eagle or Lowrance Reply  Edit

Cabelas has the Eagle Fishmark 320 on sale for $109 and the Lowrance X96 on sale for $129. I know these are both made by Lowrance but is the X96 worth the extra $20? I want to replace the Lowrance X50 I have mounted on my bow and will use the $20 toward something else if ther's no difference in thes units.

Look to be same basic unit---same power & pixel counts. Had a 320 that worked fine, I do like the higher pixel count units better, but the 320 will do just fine.

The X96 uses the same power cable/transducer as the eagle units. Its one of the few Lowrance units made that do. These units are very close to the same.

I think you will find that the x96 has a lot more control menus than the Eagle. Bobby McDonald

If you check out the Lowrance and Eagle websites you'll find that the specs look identical. The Eagle actually has more features described, but they are likely identical units.

I've used nothing but Lowrance for many years but couldn't resist a 320 and 642c for a Ranger project boat I'm working on.

IIRC, the Lowrance has the flasher display and a couple of other minor features that I don't think are important.

I might be wrong, but I think the Eagle can't be networked and the Lowrance can. Some one set me straight.

Neither one of them can be networked and if they could it would serve very little purpose without gps.

Thanks for all the input. Sounds like for the price I can't go wrong with either one. Probably buy the Eagle and use the $20 toward something else.
