When I select the Lowrance card then the heading extension is an option on the Chart menu. When I switch to Navionics card the heading extension option disappears from the Chart menu. It is a Navionics Platinum card.
Not real sure but THINK you have to go back and reactivate it when you switch to the Nav. card. I leave mine on my Platinum card 99% of time. See if you can reactivate it with the Nav card activated. Also know my WP will not switch from Low. Maps to Nav Card. . . http://www.bluewaterled.com

Are you talking about leaving a trail on your GPS map or the look ahead feature that shows your trail in front of you in the direction you are going. If it be the latter (look ahead) that is not an automatic feature and has to be set up to show.. . http://www.bluewaterled.com
The look ahead feature that shows your trail in front of you. On the 520 you could set it up by distance, ie. 1 mile, 2 mile.....
Shit NEVER MIND.......TOTALLY Missed you where talking about a 520, when the title of the post is HDS 10 Trackline Extension.
I will butt out from trying to help others at this point about the 4 time in two weeks I have screwed up by missing something relevant in a post . . http://www.bluewaterled.com
You were right. I'm trying to get the trackline extension on my HDS10 like I was able to do with my old 520C. I see the heading extension on the HDS10 when I have the Lowrance card selected but it disappears when I select the Navionics card.
This has been a point of contention since the release of the HDS. I have been trying to get them to restore the trackline to its original form. It was much more useful to us freshwater guys with a measure of distance than of time. The current version is to heavy of a mark and is essentially useless as a guide.
