First of all Michael, welcome to the Cobra board! What kind of info are you looking for?
I thought I would be on easy street by now but somehow I missed the off ramp!

Well I really do not know what kind of info I am looking for. But I if I was to buy this from a dealer they would be giving me manuals, measurements, features, mantenance and a whole lot more.I know that this sound like I do not trust my friend but I do. I just want to be educated on products and things that I spend a big amount of money on. Thanks For Asking Fish Hawk

Not necessarily, because there never was any manuals that came with the boats. The folks here are your manual and there is enough knowledge on the Cobra board that someone will be able to help you with just about any question you have. Depending on what year your boat is it was either called a Cobra 1710 (17' 10" in length) or a Cobra 180 (same boat, same length but just a name change). Here's a few specs about the boat: Length: 17' 10" Beam: 88" Approximate weight (just boat): 1250 lbs Horsepower rating: 175hp Recommended horsepower: 90hp-175hp Fuel tank capacity: 31 gallons Persons/Capacity: 5/750 lbs I can send you a lot more info...like what came standard on the boat and trailer but it would be an extremely long post. So, send me your eMail address if interested.

It is a 2000 model. I guess what I am really looking for is a pile of people to tell me that I can not go wrong with the Cobra. Looking for feedback on any postive or negitive things. Just to get a better idea of what I am buying. Thanks Fish Hawk

The Cobra is one of the finest boats built. It is a high quality well built rig that will last you many years. The boat you are looking at is all composite construction and has many components that are still used in boats today. They built there last boats in 2006 but many 1997 boats are still in use and the owners love them a won't part with them. If the price is right to you then you are getting a great boat that will take you fishing for many years to come.

I bought my first Cobra about three months ago, and still find myself with a big smile on my face while I`m running down the lake. They look good, handle good, take rough water good and fish good. I guess there is only two things that are on the down side...You have to watch how you run big waves, or you will get wet, and the bow doesn`t ride very high. I have never stabbed a wave, but it sure seems like it`s getting close. I`m about to buy a different prop for running in rough water that will get the bow up more than the three blade. I`m very happy with my Cobra and would do it all over again. Pro Staff

I had the same boat in a 2003 model and loved it. Enough that I know have a 201. For an 18 footer I don't know that you will find a boat that handles water better for its size. I fish Lake superior quit a bit and my buddy with a 20 ft. skeeter had to fallow me so I could cut the waves for him. That says something. If I were looking for a brand new boat I would only go with another Cobra (by Anaconda) or a Legend. Pretty much the same boat.
