We all know of the bad, well I want to let you know of the good.

I have an HDS-8 at lowrance for repair, sent it in early december. They have been on back order ever since. called up today as I have been calling once a week to get the most recent update. they upgraded me to a lake insight at no extra charge. i sent them the head unit and they are sending a brand new boxed system.

rough start to this repair experience but ended very well. thanks lowrance!

Good news for all. Not much to bash for the hard heads.

I have found for the lakes I fish, the insight is more then enough. Easy to navigate channels, etc.

Lowrance is the king of GPS in my opinion.

definitely good news, got the tracking number same day too!

unfortunately insight doesnt do anything for us here in the north east but its the gesture that counts. Navionics rules out here...its based out of Mass so we have everything mapped out here

I bought a HDS 8 and right out of the box it didn't function right. I called Lowrance and they told me to send it in and it would take four weeks to fix it. I was hot, but what can you do. I sent it in feb. 2 and I got a new one today Feb. 16. I just hope this one is OK.

Why didnt you just take it back to whomever you bought it from?

I had already registered it, and didn't know if they would take it back. They were out of them also.
